My thesis project involves searching for photometric variations in L
dwarfs. I have lots of data, but I'm not going to tell you the results
here. You'll just have to wait until they get published. Meanwhile, you
can check out my Brown Dwarf Catalog. If you've gotten this far in my
website, then you should have found it!
Before this project I was working with Dr. Marley and Denise Stephens
modelling the reflected spectra of extrasolar giant planets. We have recently
submitted a paper to the Astrophysical Journal which describes our results. I
have also submitted a paper to the Physics and Chemistry of the Earth, which
details a poster I presented at the 23rd Assembly of the European Geophysical
Society in Nice, France in April 1997.
As an undergrad at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I worked with
John Dickel looking for a counterpart to a gamma-ray repeater source.
Specifically, I processed Hubble Space Telescope archival images in hopes of
finding an optical counterpart. The result of our search can be found in the
ApJ.
