Dave joined the staff of New Mexico State University in October 1995 as Observing Specialist for the 1-meter telescope. As Observing Specialist he was principally responsible for operation and maintenece of this facility. Visit the NMSU Astronomy department pages to learn more about this project.

In 2001, the focus of Dave's activities with the department changed. He now acts as a consultant with primary duties including the maintanance and upgrade of astronomy classroom equipment and campus observatory telescopes. Dave still acts as a consultant on the 1-meter telescope project.
