Research:

At NMSU, I’m working with both Dr. Nancy Chanover and Dr. Eric Nielsen. My work with Dr. Chanover involves studying the changing color of Jupiter’s storm Oval BA. With Dr. Nielsen, I have been focusing on implementing stellar astrometry as a method of fitting exoplanet orbits in the python package orbitize!. I am also interested in the connections between planetary science and exoplanets, mainly how changing weather features in the atmospheres of Jupiter analog exoplanets can affect the observations taken, and therefore the interpretation of these planets.
